The Alamo
Details
I served as Integrated Producer for the new Alamo Visitor Center and Museum—a 160,000-square-foot, world-class cultural destination and centerpiece of the transformation of Alamo Plaza. Designed to welcome millions of visitors from around the world, the museum is reshaping how one of America’s most recognized historic sites tells its story.
Working with eight designers, 14 consulting historians, institutional leadership, and project stakeholders, I oversaw content development and concept design, aligning multiple perspectives around a cohesive visitor experience. The museum expands the story beyond the legendary 1836 battle to explore 300 years of layered history through more than 5,000 artifacts, immersive environments, and interpretive galleries.
At its heart is a more complete and inclusive telling of the Alamo story—bringing Indigenous, Tejano, Mexican, Texan, and other perspectives into a shared narrative. My role centered on navigating that complexity, integrating rigorous scholarship, compelling storytelling, design, and visitor experience into a museum worthy of the Alamo’s significance and global recognition.
